Colombia: cocaine, Pablo Escobar, criminal, murders and wars? I prefer a different description. Colombia is a country of diverse landscapes, including the Andes Mountains, beautiful coastline (Caribbean and Pacific), the dense rainforest of the Amazon, and two Caribbean islands of San Andres and Providencia. It is the home of the perfect cup of coffee. It is also the home to the capital, which closes its roads every Sunday so people can run, cycle, and rollerblade freely. It is a country of 50 million people, with wide, sincere smiles, always happy to help. Let me introduce you to a different Colombia. The one that we experienced during our travel and it couldn’t be more different than its stereotypes.
