Day 20: Ferry from Larvik to Hirtshals and Palm Beach in Denmark
Our time in Norway was over and our plan was to take a glimpse of the Denmark and head home. We hopped on a ferry from Larvik to Hirtshals and ended up discovering something amazing – Palm Beach in Frederikshavn. It felt like we were in the Caribbean, with white sands and palm trees. They started bringing in the palms in 2004 just for fun, and they keep them there from May to September. We enjoyed the sunny vibes and it was fun to lay under the palm in Denmark. Close by is also a Pikkerbakken for a cool view of Frederikshavn. The city was calm, so we kept it easy, had a simple meal and drink by the beach, and took a nice walk back to the hotel

Day 21: Frederikshavn to Odense
The next morning, we headed to Odense. But, on the way, we saw a sign for a castle and thought, “Why not?” The Voergaard Castle was closed, but we got to wander around its beautiful garden, before heading back towards Odense. In Odense we casually explored the city. We were kind of tired of driving around all the time, so we just enjoyed the walk. The city was buzzing at night, with concerts and lots of young people. We barely found a seat in one of the many bars and soaked in the lively atmosphere.
